May the Fourth be with you!

Happy Star Wars Day everyone. :)

Feeling Blessed.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. -Ephesians 2:8-9

But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. -Romans 5:8

I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. -Galatians 2:20

See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.... -1 John 3:1

One of our pastors took this picture of our church. I would be there right now, but due to a little cold, I am at home instead.

Thanking God today for His love, grace, mercy, faithfulness, wisdom, power and so much more.

"Great is Thy faithfulness!" "Great is Thy faithfulness!"
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I hath needed Thy hand hath provided---
"Great is Thy faithfulness," Lord unto me!

LOLs :)

Okay, I just have a few funnies to share on here today. :)

I saw this first one a few days ago and laughed so hard! It's so stupid that it's funny. You'll see what I mean...

I think my favorites are the alligator, lizard and t-Rex.
I also like the sippy cups.... :D

My family recently discovered this comedian. Tim Hawkins and this guy, Thor Ramsey, are my two favorite Christian comedians right now.

Speaking of Tim Hawkins....

:D

And here are a few more funnies.

I got these next ones from my blogging friend, Maddie May. Thanks, Maddie!

This one really tickled me. I don't know if it's his expression, or what, but I literally laughed out loud.
(Speaking of Frodo and LOTR, I finally saw The Hobbit awhile back. I liked it, though I think that the "original" LOTR trilogy is my favorite. Speaking of The Hobbit,--I'm gonna be a total teenage girl here--Kili is not hard on the eyes. Am I right, girls?? ;) Okay. Teenage girl moment over.)

Happy Monday!

Haley ~ 1 Month

Our sweet, 1 month old girl

Haley is growing like a little weed and has started to make eye contact with us and smile (not sure if it's completely intentional yet, but she smiled at me a couple days ago, so I'd like to believe it is :)).

She gets lots of love and makes us all happy.

I love her little cheeks!

Sobbin' Women

I read about the abduction of the Sabine women today for school and all I could think about was this song from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. It's been stuck in my head all day long.

A Few Pictures

Hallelujah, He is risen!

I hope you all had a great Easter, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus!
How wonderful it is to know that I can live forever with Him in eternity, all because He took my place and then conquered death!

Guess what? On this Good Friday, our house was not egged, unlike last year! Yay! :) Cleaning raw egg off of your house is not fun.

Saturday, my siblings and I hid eggs in our yard for each other to hunt, our annual tradition. :)

I became distracted by the sky...I like to take pictures of it...

Dresden is a pretty skillful egg hider.

As a side note, I love the reflection of the trees in this picture and the next.
You're so artistic, Alley, even when you don't mean to be!  ;D

This one makes me smile. Megan was grumpy because she didn't get to carry the basket when she and Dresden were hunting eggs. By the way, this was taken ten minutes after that happened! As you can see, she doesn't get over things quickly...

We also do an egg toss with Mom every year. This was basically the only decent picture I got of that.

And...pretty soon, the egg toss became an all out egg fight. :)

Liam running from Dresden, who is about to throw an egg at him

Also, if you look close, you can see the "Narnia lamp post" in our neighbor's yard. I love that lamp post. :)

This one's a little bright, but I just love it! These two already have a sweet relationship.

  A candid shot. ;)
I don't have many pictures of Liam holding Haley (probably because Liam usually despises having his picture taken), but he definitely loves her. It's super cute watching him hold and talk to her.

Lookin' pretty on Easter morning

On a totally different topic, my family will be getting a puppy soon! Any name suggestions? We haven't decided on anything for sure yet.

Anyway, here is a picture of our new doggie...

....April Fool's!
Yeah, I know that was lame. :) I just had to do something...

Have a good week!

Snapshot Saturday

"But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed." ~Isaiah 53:5

He Is Risen!
And it is finished...

Happy Easter!

Two Weeks Old!

Her mohawk is hilarious.

Our sweet little Haley is now two weeks old. She is getting way too big! ;(  But seriously, she has already changed and grown.

at one day old...

 ...at thirteen days old.
I love listening to the noises she makes in her sleep.

I am trying to enjoy every minute with Haley while she is still really little, because before I know it, she will be as old as Megan (who is turning five! tomorrow...now how is that possible?!). So, I have been snuggling with Haley, constantly smelling the Baby Magic on her soft skin and just loving all of the joys that come with having a tiny baby in the house.

Megan had just eaten frozen blueberries when this picture was taken, thus the blue lips. :)

Megan is constantly smothering loving on Haley. I am glad that she has adapted easily to being a big sister.

I call this one Sleep of the Newborn.

Haley is a very good baby; she just takes everything in her stride. She receives many kisses and cuddles all day long and is a good sport about being transferred from one person to another (I fear she will become spoiled by all of this constant attention!). :) She doesn't cry much and likes to look around when she is awake and happy.

Just look at that precious little face!!!

The only time she doesn't have the mowhawk is right after a bath. And then once her hair dries a little, it gets all fluffy (before it becomes a mohawk again), which looks so cute! :)

Happy two weeks, Haley! Try not to grow up too fast, okay?

We're friends with a theologian! :)

My family had the opportunity to hear R.C. Sproul Jr. teach last night at the Truth Revealed conference. We were very excited to be able to see and talk to him!

R.C. Sproul Jr. married my parents and baptized me when I was a baby; he is a friend of my family, as well as a theologian. :)

We were also able to have breakfast with him earlier this morning, which was pretty cool!

oh my gosh! We got a picture with the R.C. Sproul Jr.! AHHH! :D

(sorry the picture is not the best quality...it was taken on my mom's phone)
