The Cross & The Switchblade

Another story successfully told! The Cross & The Switchblade was a great show and it was such a joy to work with this godly, encouraging cast! I had so much fun, as always when it comes to Greenleaf. :)
I am thankful that I got to be a part of sharing the gospel through this story.

To those of you who live in the area--

 I thought I would mention that due to the response the play has received, Greenleaf will be having another showing of The Cross & The Switchblade on Sunday, the 17th at 3pm. They are selling tickets at the door and the price is $9 if you've already called and reserved a ticket, $12 if you haven't pre-paid.  

It's a great show, and definitely worth seeing!

Nicky Cruz Interview

I'm going to be in The Cross and The Switchblade with Greenleaf Music & Arts Studio next month, and I'm really excited! I'm praying that God will work in the hearts of our audience and that we will bring glory and honor to Him while telling this story.

Here is a video of Nicky Cruz being interviewed the day that the preacher who shared the gospel with him, David Wilkerson, passed away.

It's definitely amazing how much God changed Nicky Cruz and how He opened his eyes to see Him.

The Valley Haven Christmas Show

I had the opportunity to be in Greenleaf Theater's Christmas play earlier this month. It was a comedy about old folks in a nursing home, so it was super fun to do! :)

I was the choir director of a choir that came to the nursing home and sang for the residents. This is me in action. :)

Kayla played Ethel, the grouch of the bunch, and she did a wonderful job even though her character's personality was quite contrary to her real personality. :)

It's Over... :(

The Kids of Bristol Town is over. *sniff, sniff*

We had three great shows and a great audience at every one. Each show was better than the last, and God helped us to use the talents He has given us to tell the story of George Mueller to the best of our abilities.

 It was such a fun week and I pray that The Kids of Bristol Town worked in the hearts of the ones who watched it and maybe even brought some to Christ.

Greenleaf is such an encouraging, down-to-earth, fun, safe environment, and I didn't feel criticized or anything during my time there, which is big to me because it is easy, no matter what situation you are in, for people to 'tear down' instead of 'build up'.

One of the things that I loved about Greenleaf was that the focus was truly on God. We sang praise songs and prayed before each show. We gave each other high fives after every scene and just encouraged one another. You could really just sense that the whole cast wanted to bring glory and honor to God while they were on the stage. It was so awesome to be a part of such a great, Christian cast!

 Dresden was even able to be in the show, (she played my child) and it was fun having her hang out with us.

There was a cast party at Greenleaf yesterday afternoon, which was a lot of fun. It was great to reward ourselves for working so hard over the past week by eating snacks, laughing and performing 'bloopers' of some of the scenes on the stage.


Even though I'm sad the show is over, I am looking forward to doing more with Greenelaf over the years!

Dresden and I each got a bouquet of roses from our grandparents! These pretty flowers make me smile.
